Quigley Insurance Services has been providing expert surety knowledge and expertise to Southern California contractors since 1988. We are a “bond only” agency which allows us to dedicate our full time and attention in delivering the best possible surety bond program for our clients. We write many different types of surety bonds including bid, performance, payment, license and permit bonds. As long time surety professionals, we have excellent working relationships with our high quality surety companies and underwriters which are essential to a successful bonding program.

Quigley Insurance Services is an independent surety oriented agency that has written billions of dollars in surety bonds since 1988. The main principal has been active in all facets of the surety industry since 1982 including being a surety bond underwriter with three major surety companies. The experience of being a bond underwriter gives us great insight into how a bond underwriter thinks as we know what they are looking for. We can definitely help a client make a great first impression.
Even though we are located in Orange County, we consider our territory as the entire area of Southern California and where ever our clients work. We bond all types of contractors from “startups” to large, well established construction companies that need work programs of $100,000,000 or more. We have worked with contractors across the entire industry spectrum including general contractors, general engineering firms, subcontractors and suppliers. Over the many years, our clients have undertaken just about every type of project conceivable for public agencies, private owners and developers as evidenced by our clients’ project profiles.

Our experience and ability to work with surety underwriters to make sure they have the best possible understanding of a contractor’s experience and ability will result in successfully maximizing a client’s bonding program.
Before we submit our client's account information to a prospective bonding company, we do our own underwriting evaluation of the account. If modifications need to be made and/or questions need to be asked, we address them before we make an account submission to the bonding company. These changes or questions can come in any number of areas. We work closely with contractor oriented CPA’s, bankers and attorneys because many times these are the areas that need to be addressed. We work as a team with the CPA, banker and attorney to make sure we serve the client’s best interests. After we have gotten the “ducks in line”, we can give a client a close estimation of the bonding program they will qualify for. This whole process ensures the client’s account submission to the surety underwriter will make an excellent first impression. Bonding limits and rates are generally determined by many factors including the financial strength of the company, personal financial strength, history, size of jobs completed and company reputation to name a few.
We are committed to streamlining the process of obtaining surety bonds which is the result of our extensive experience. We are focused on solving our client’s surety bond issues with aggressive and creative ideas and approaches. Many of the areas we can assist in are in increasing single job size, expanding aggregate surety program, reducing bond rates and improving service.
